2007 Winn Feline Foundation Funded Studies
Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded grants totaling in excess of $3 million
for scientific studies, encouraging veterinarians and researchers to focus attention on
the needs of cats. The Foundation selected eight studies to fund in 2007 for a total of $127,544.
Research topics for 2007 include feline mammary cancer, drug delivery using transdermal gel
in cats, an avian H5N1 influenza virus vaccine for cats, stem cell therapy for feline kidney
